Southwest Women Working Together

Southwest Women Working Together (SWWT) has been helping women realize their potential since 1975. Through a variety of programs, SWWT provides counseling, shelter, food, clothing, training, education and employment support for thousands of women and children annually -over 130,000 to date. In order to accommodate the growing staff required to provide these outstanding services to an increasing number of clients, SWWT needed to expand its headquarters. SWWT purchased their new facility, located at 6845 S. Western Avenue, in June 2001. SSF's design plan will impart a nurturing, safe, and relaxing environment for clients and staff alike in this new space. Supporting the Spirit's volunteer design team, under the direction of Suzanne Maviano, has made great strides towards making SWWT's environment a beautiful one by:

• sourcing and incorporating a tremendous contribution of office furniture from the AON Company.
• planning an interior design scheme that conveys a business-like sensibility yet still feels comfortable and inviting.
• considering the needs of the children who will be using the facility's counseling rooms and waiting areas.
