Gads Hill Child Care Center

Gads Hill Child Care Center, located at 2653 W. Ogden in the Sinai Community Institute's Center for Families and Neighbors, provides services for 170 Head Start children, children of Mount Sinai Health System employees and participants in Club Learn, an after-school program. Since its inception in 1898, Gads Hill Center has encouraged creativity and problem solving skills and promoted values of sharing, caring, peace, justice, cooperation, and forgiveness. Supporting the Spirit Foundation's volunteer designers envisioned a new space that would convey this mission visually by:

• reflecting the exuberance of children, with a color scheme that is both playful and calming. This bright and cheery space is now ideal for children, conveying a sense of joy, safety and caring.
